Absolutely. It's up there with the more pie-in-the-sky hopeful ideas. Let's focus on more realistic targets who can improve us.

Interesting that Pardew thought that it would be shame that the premier League would lose a club with the stature of the Villa.Tie that in with the comments elsewhere that the Football league leaned on clubs to help Manure during their time of need perhaps we should be viewed in a similar light. Benteke from Liverpool is my starter for 10

Bunn looked quite small tonight. I like a beast in goal.

He'd have been able to gather Lescott's header because he's closer to the ground than Hennessey.

However, in general, I'm with you on preferring the keeper to be physically imposing

What a guy.  Get him resurrected. Waddled off if his defenders were not trying hard enough has to be the best thing to see in a game.

I'm disappointed that Cameron hasn't passed a law making scoring against The Villa illegal and that the future king hasn't ordered all other clubs give us 3 points each as some kind of new King-likes-it-that-way tax for the privilege of playing against AVFC.

One of my non-Villa idols when I was a kid.

I wanted to be a keeper as a kid. Always wanted keeper stuff, gloves, shirts the lot. I was always too small in height, which I have now more than made up for in width, but Southall was one of my favourite non Villa. Bosnich too over as my favourite keeper after that, then I went off the keeper idea when I realised I was never going to reach beast like size. Keepers must be beasts.

Linked with some Ivorian centre half today. Interesting in the articles on him, the way Sunderland messed him about in extreme circumstances could result in a points deduction. Bit extreme.

I used to really like that Everton team.
