The fast start is what we should be aiming for in every game. The first goal is massive in this league.
Quite right. Fergie's Yanited always seemed to come out the blocks fast. Especially at home.
If we had beat teams like WBA, Leicester and Stoke like we should have done, then this would have been a great game to really have a go and dig the knife deeper into Chelsea.
Because we don't want to get embarrassed and have our Moral reduced any further Sherwood will join both McLeish and lambert in resorting to a tactical "let's keep the score down to a maximum of a 3-0 loss".
Which is fine as Sherwood can then in his after match interview explain that all though Chelsea are currently awful they still possess a "World class team" that cost Trillions of pounds compared to our meagre £60M or whatever it is.
in short 3-0 loss

It's the one thing that has moved me away from Sherwood. That he has sent out the side since the start of the season with stopping the opposition playing as his opening tactic. Now there's a place for it. I understood that as an approach against Bournemouth for example given the circumstances. But not every game. We can start games being the aggressor or being at least feeling we are on an equal footing but he has chosen not to. And what is even more frustrating is that we have shown when we do step it up we can look really quite good at times. He either doesn't have confidence in himself or the players and that kind of mentality is a big reason as to why we are where we are.

I think it was quoted in one of Roy Keane's books that they went Hell for leather to Score as many as possible in the first 20 minutes.
We'll lose this one and be bottom by Monday morning.
Have a nice day.
Looks like we have a pretty fit squad apart from Gabby, Clark and Okore...and Traore may actually be fit enough to play a part tomorrow. Question marks over Sanchez due to returning late from International duty, but overall we should have a pretty strong team available.
This will be the final nail in the coffin......for Jose and sweet revenge for our 8-0 humiliation Chelsea 1-6 Villa
are they fit though?
I don't fancy any of them.
Bit concerning that Traore seems to be injured most of the time .

He's fit now apparently. Just read it on OS

We've had some beauties over the years mind, Sims, Keown, Penrice, gorgeous all of them.

Are they all fit enough for his pressing game? he wants them fit enough to play his way but were unable to before the
international break, BUT now they are back after being away with their countries will now be up to the task ??

Ok good . We need him to start pulling rabbits out of hats .
I'm going to ignore the game completely and cast an eye over the results sometime on Monday afternoon.
