We play them away again only about a month later, and our last outing there was a disaster, so it doesn't look an attractive fixture, but it is 'priced to sell'.

How much would it have been of Chelsea were opponents and Ken Monkou the guest of honour?

I would have liked to get to that game, but I can't see there being any tickets left on 14th October. I'll just concentrate on the league.

What's the point? There's no way we're winning this or any other game on the horizon.

If we do lose, there's no shame in going out to Southampton.

If we do win, well atm, I wouldn't believe you. But always can hope

Right now I wouldn't feel confident about beating anyone.

I think our wins this season sum it up - team promoted from Championship, Division 2 team and a Championship side

What is this telling us? Maybe a top half Championship side in the near future

I'm on the scrounge, chaps. Anyone got a reference I can pinch, ideally ST plus the two cup games? Kids one will do, it's time the nephew did his first away.

Tickets sorted and hotel booked. It's been a long time since I've done an evening game. Pretty excited, despite how woeful we currently are. When I told my wife we'd be spending a couple of days in Southampton as part of our trip to the UK, the first thing she said was "is there a genuine tourist attraction there, or are the bloody Villa playing?!" Rumbled.

It's very handy for The New Forest if that's any help? Lymington is lovely once you get through the traffic.......and, errrrm..... there might be a big impressive ship in at the docks that you could go and see.

Can't think of anything else.

The Royal Southampton Yacht Club is a nice play to go for a few light beers in the afternoon .

There's a Decathlon right in the middle of town.
