Take off your best goal scorer to promote better hoofing.

Genius.

I'm waiting with bated breath for the 70 minute mark, when Sherwood sends on one of the mascots to replace Gil and instructs Westwood to start playing one-twos with the moon.

It is like taking repeated body blows being a Villa fan.

Westwood. Can't. Kick. A. Football.

He just did kick a football. Not particularly accurately on the last occasion, granted.

There is something seriously fucking dodgy going on to leave Gabby on above our top scorer? TS doing his best to alienate himself very early in his Villa career. This will finish badly for us, not just today but the season.

Here we go, stroking it around harmlessly in front of the Albion midfield before launching it in the box. This is our master plan.

As things stand, we're accruing points at a rate which suggests a 25 points finish.

If we are going route one in the second half, would much prefer Sinclair reading the knock ons from Gestede than Gabby

no width or pace in our midfield, both nominal widemen spending more time infield = a mess

It doesnt make sense that Gabby is playing, his head is clearly not anywhere near the right place. Totally fucking astonishing decision.

Why take Sinclair off for Rudy?

Gabby is dead.
Good Lord the quality of analysis on here.  1. Sinclair so anonymous someone thought he wasn't on the pitch; 2. Only real chance created and a very good one for Gil came directly from Gabby's good work. 3. Gabby has struggled in the air against two shaky looking centre halves hence put the big striker on. $. Westwood has been excellent first half doing largely the necessary things noone ever gets praise for and is consistently excellent at doing just that.
