I think its important we get the partnerships going tonight. That synergy and understanding is equally as important as fitness.I would like to see Veretout and Gana as the midfield two, with Grealish in front. The back four I would keep the same, with the possible exception of Hutton for Bacuna. I'd give Bunn a go too.Up top, Traore wide, with Ayew off Gestede.

Only 3 mate. He's showing interest lately, wears his kit when he plays on a Sunday morning, hates the Blues etc, so he's on the right path but I'm convinced he's expecting 'Villa Park' to be an actual park with swings and slides! Hopefully the evening doesn't disappoint.
I'd give Avarmi the night off, he's doen very well so far but its been a tough start and some of the players have faded badly as matches have progressed. I'd save him for Saturday.
Heard earlier that there is to be a minute silence for those who died in the plane crash in Shoreham at all cup games tomorrow. I don't want to sound heartless about what was a terrible tragedy, but should there really be a minute silence at football games for it?
Tim Sherwood will ring the changes for tomorrow night's Capital One Cup clash with Notts County in a bid to freshen up his fringe players. The Villa boss has stressed that his entire squad, barring those he has specifically told can move on, will be important this season especially if the club enjoys another trip to Wembley.Admitting that some of the players who have started the first three league games of the season might be given a night off, Sherwood said: “We’ll make some changes as I think these boys have gone at it for the last three games so the other lads need an opportunity to play.”That doesn’t mean Villa will be weakened, though. The likes of Jordan Ayew, Jordan Veretout and Adama Traore are likely to play from the start while Alan Hutton and Nathan Baker could come into the backline.Libor Kozak has travelled with the squad for the past two away games but has yet to make the matchday 18. He could feature at some point, too.“The cup is very, very important,” said Sherwood.“It’s an opportunity to win a trophy which is excellent.“I think that’s a realistic target for us so I don’t see the competition as a distraction at all.“This season is all about improving on the last one. That’s a must.“But it would be nice if we could go to Wembley a couple of times again too.”
