Somewhere in Swindon right now, some 17 year old apprentice is desperately trying to get a Raspberry Pi with 1998 vintage web cam to talk reliably via a 28.8 US Robotics modem.

I remember when I upgraded from 28.8 to a 56k modem. I thought that it was fantastic

Every fucking element of Aston Villa disappoints me at the moment. It is literally my worst hobby

From the text commentary on the official site:

Quote
Paul AVFC:
We are aware of issues with our live stream this evening and we are working hard to fix them.

Having been in similar situations to what the Villa techies are currently experiencing I have some sympathy but I quite understand why others are annoyed.

It looks like someone's switched it off and on again.  Slow but I get through to the stream which is hosted by a 3rd party.  I bet it was a nose DDOS attack :)

ps. 1-0 Villa

The streaming site I use hasn't had a problem showing the games, which makes AVTV look even worse.

In the end I got it on the ipad by going back through Google,  direct to AVTV,  then when I got the runtime error, I opened it in Safari &  I got in. I have no idea if this was coincidence or technique but it's worth a try.....and we'ver scored! Yay!

A Villa goal seems to have shocked the system.

HD it's not...
