N'Zogbia was way better than Richards as at least he had a couple of games where it could be described as him having a good game. Whereas Richards hasn't even had a 10 minute spell for us that could be classed as average let alone good.
You're comparing shite with manure - both are pretty 'orrible.
N'Zog was a fake footballer. At least Richards doesn't pretend.

I think he is crocked. Bruce certainly alluded to that.

Not sure if his instagram is blocked now but he posted a picture of him watching Joe Hart play for Torino last season and a few Villa fans had a pop at him. His response was along the lines of you'd struggle to play too if you had the knees I have.

For whatever reason he obviously can't get fit and I'd imagine he'd struggle to pass a stringent medical anywhere else.

If he had any interest in playing he would go on loan. He hasn't had an interest in playing in years, remember him commissioning his own league medal one of the years he was at City.

He had a couple of laughable appearances for us last term, that cup game in RDMs time and I think Bruce's first game. Running around like a dog chasing a car.

Worth remembering that he turned down an additional £30k per week on offer from Sunderland so he could sign for Villa.
I really dont think its a case of him not being interested in playing, hes just not physically capable.

we've roped a few dopes in our time but this fella's got to rank right up there as being our worst ever signing

As mentioned above

N,Zogbia
Ivo Stas
Bosko Balaban

I am sure all clubs have them

Out of those I have a special dislike on N'Zogbia.  He had all the tools but just couldn't give a fuck.  The others were just hopeless footballers.

The amount of money we spent on N'Zogbia (fee and wages) was scandalous.  Stas is a bit harsh because of his terrible injuries, but I would add Stephen Ireland to that list.

Stephen Ireland, Player of the Season - 2011/12 you mean? ;)

The very same one.  Only played the full 90 minutes on 11 occasions that season, so obviously fully deserved!!

Given that we didn't have a manager at the time I could never understand which eejit sanctioned the transfer. We should have simply got more cash for Milner for the new manager to spend.

McDonald was quite happy to get him on board as they'd walked together at the Republic of Ireland set up before Ireland's premature retirement.

Think we have to remember it was highly likely McDonald was going to get the job permanently before 6-0 at Newcastle happened.

that would be like a turkey voting  for Christmas - no way is this knobhead going to voluntarily give up trousering 30k plus a week.

Except when he signed for the Villa instead of Sunderland?

There is an ancient folk legend about the Green Ray.  It is very brief instant of illumination in which the ultimate truth is revealed about that which is illuminated.  It shone on Micah Richards that day when Timmeh played him at centre back in a pre season at Forest.  He was utterly clueless.   The difference between him and flowerpot man is that at least Charlie showed occasional tiny glimpses of ability.  Richards has never even had one remotely sound game.

I thought he looked pretty decent in the first few games under Sherwood but as soon as Timmy left, he seemed to lose interest. It seemed a good idea at the time.......

Insightful piece in the Meaning Evil about Micah.

Richards was included in Villa’s squad for September’s 2-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Middlesbrough and that remains supporters’ only sighting of him this term.

Club officials expect Richards, who remains one of Villa’s biggest earners, to see out the remaining 18 months of his contract with the club.

But the reality is that Bruce’s first game was probably Richards’ final game for Aston Villa.
