Micah Ricahrds has gone up in my estimations today, respect to him for facing the fans like that.

Yeah, he's my new Villa hero.

He's not the most intelligent footballer, but I do think the effort's there. His weakness is positional, not work rate. Fair play to him for talking to the fans. Doesn't make him a hero, but there's a middle ground and it was a nice touch.

Although I couldn't follow the exchange, Richards did the right thing by engaging with the fans. At a time when the whole country is laughing at us, the last thing you want is to feel the side aren't hearing how much it hurts.

yep  better than running off like the others

I thought he did ok at RB actually , looked more threatening than Hutton.

But what about his positioning as a right back?

and yes I know his positioning  at times was poor but Mcgrath , sometimes Hutton is playing on Mars at the same time .

I know

and Hutton as cost us lots of points this season

I saw one bad time but he did get back to sort it .

Its not the answer but I just prefer him at RB than Hutton as Huttons final ball is awful and hes costing us more goals and Richards will cost us more at CB.

I agree about Hutton and have been wanting Richards at right back from day one but his positioning today was awful, on more than your one occasion

Today he was a liability in defence -- against Wycombe. Attackingly he wasn't so poor, maybe he can play in midfield (for 60 minutes). I'm not sure he would be worse than Westwood or Bacuna.

But what about his positioning as a right back?

The exchange with the fans came before he was taken off.
