It's great news and I'm sure has given everybody a real lift along with the news about the revenue from kit sponsorship. I look forward to captain fantastic kissing the badge when we secure a much needed point at home to Norwich.

Sunderland's second goal showed why he should not be a centre back.  Stepping out into no man's land and leaving Lescott 1 on 1.  His positioning is all over the place.

Get him at RB, Okore and Lescott in the middle.  If he moans and will only play CB, send him to the U21s.

Ban the players from social media and only information based articles on the official website.  Completely fed up with all the nonsense that we are made to read. Show us you care on the f****ng pitch!

Exactly.

Talks the talk but never walks the walk. Acts the tough guy in tunnels or where it doesn't matter.

Do it on the pitch. Be a fucking Captain. Be a fucking leader.

I think he's too much of a loose cannon to be captain material.  A good captain should be a calming influence whenever there's any agro on the field, not jumping in and making it worse.

That said, there's nobody in the squad is would consider appropriate as a captain.

He reacts to situations rather than anticipating them as an experienced centre half would .Infact with his poor reading of the game combined with Guzans it is truly frightening.

id play him right back until the season end in every minute of every game

maybe just maybe he might play himself into some bit of form for some chump manager to bring this charlatan in their club next season

with the length of his contract, we need rid of him asap in the summer

dont think Micah's ego would take playing in the championship, better playing for fake medals like the one Citeh gave him one year when he hadnt played the required number of games

Guzan has the worst back 4 playing in front of him that I've witnessed for a Villa team.
It's little wonder he makes mistakes, he's having to concentrate on four other players games as well as his own.

Perhaps the back four are unsettled by having such a bag of jelly between the sticks.

I'd been frustrated but understanding of both Sherwood's and Garde's reluctance to play him at right back without Okore to fill in at centre back, but Saturday pissed me off.
Especially as the centre pairing that's looked least shit so far is Okore and Lescott.

I think that's very unlikely, Brian.

I think we all know that Guzan and Benteke, between them, kept us in the Prem for two or three seasons on their own, so we know that he's a very capable keeper.

I reckon that Peter Shilton and Gordon Banks (arguably the best two ever) would be reduced to shivering wrecks behind our back four    ;D
