A big thank you to the gentleman who sat across the aisle from me on Coach 29. As well as being great company on the journey there and back he promised to let Freddy have his scarf as we missed out being in Block 530. He was true to his word.

I was on coach 29 as well my scarf was nicked but i found one on the way out

My dad, nephew and Mike Jeffries' mum were all on 29 too.

A nice gesture now would be to spend the summer buying players to improve the side instead of fucking around with complete gambles or championship quality fullbacks.

Perhaps the FA could punish themselves for their inept ticketing arrangements and inadequate stewarding procedures by fining themselves, say, £200,000.

Oh, hang on...

Didn't get a scarf but my flag will go on the shelf next to the Bradford SF flag.

Arsenal supporters has similar scarfs and flags in yellow and black. All scarfs and flags were provided by the FA however not sure if they charged the cost to both clubs.
I didn't get mine as someone had taken it from my seat.

All part of ticket cost I guess. The fans are the "extras" in the movie beamed globally to a billion people . Why they charge kids an average of £60 a ticket is scandalous

That's a great picture -the pre match build up was one of the highlights of the day.We were between a couple of women in their early seventies and a young family and all of them threw themselves into it. It may have been a 'mananged' build up but our end seemed to take it over somehow (but maybe it felt the same at the East End also?)

Definitely got right into all that pre match build up -- I think it was very well done because it felt really dynamic where previous pre-match shows have maybe gone for a bit of a 'stately' feel.

Abide with me was going to give it that touch of class, so the crazy pyrotechnics (which actually were really hot where I was!) dancers in claret boxes looking like they'd escaped from the 'Blue Monday' video, and the massive flag running across the pitch were a great addition.

Afterwards I did think back and wonder how I came to be screaming for our flag to get across the pitch first! Bizarre! Whoever put that together did a really god job!

Were they supposed to be subbutteo players at the start ?

It would certainly explain the 90 minutes from those in claret and blue.

We felt the heat from the flame cannons and we were in the top tier. I got some decent (well for my photography skills) pics of the flag etc but I dunno if I can face looking at them again yet!

For somewhere that takes takes great pains to avoid anyone walking on the pitch it resembled Fred Karno's circus
Oh for the days of the Coldstream Guards and dropped spurs.
