I'm sick of is being second bested by teams like Southampton. Massive credit to the likes of them and Swansea, but there was a time when the initial excitement of promotion gave way to stodgy subsequent seasons. But it's us who have stood still and sat back on reputation. One thing I hope for, other than a Spuds win, is that Sherwood has his eyes open in the transfer market and realises meat-and-potatoes English players aren't what we need to progress.

We're now trying to catch Swansea and Southampton. To fans of a broad vintage, let that sink in.

That was a disaster in defending.
What makes you say that?

Vlaar's biggest weakness is that he isn't as good as he thinks he is.

Meh.

Correct title and perfect summary. As much as today was shit nothing suggested this was on the horizon. We've had some really solid displays of late. All we can hope that this is a one off and we bounce back next week. Also hope that if any complacency existed that this sort that out too.

We hadn't turned into world beaters overnight! Look where we were after hull away and look at it now. Amazing recovery but with this team a result like this was always on the cards.if we are to improve the hard work starts in the summer.

Confidence and adrenalin were massive parts of the success over the last month or so. Both were missing today. Let's hope we just left them at home with the claret and blue shirts.

The plan to lure Arsenal into a false sense of security really stepped up a notch today.

Okore: zero out of 10, but not writing him off.

Terrible defensively but what disappointed me the most was the woeful passing and loss of possession for no reason. Shite. Hopefully we have done enough already.

i forgot we kicked off early and switched it on just before their 5th goal.

Southampton had more desire and were quicker in all departments.

Not singling anyone out; collectively, they were appalling.

Entire back four mentally ambling across the hallowed Wembley turf, soaking up the cup final atmosphere in Ciro Citterrio suits today.

I wonder how many of them have just played themselves out of a cup final?
