If we are safe, i'd make a few changes, purely to give players a run that haven't played much recently. Sisko, Hutton, Sinclair, Gil as examples.

IF we're safe, I would be sorely tempted to give some of the youth team that have been training with the seniors a start. Lewis Kinsella and Henry Cowans for example would benefit from the experience.
Also, if we have some long-term absentees who might be able to make the bench for the final, (Kozak?)  Maybe they can have a run out

If we're safe i'd definitely rest Benteke, Grealish and Delph.

Add to that Russian Hepburn - Murphy (RMH) , would be unfair after Sunderland to not give him another go as he must be buzzing .

Another thing to remember is that if we rest too many of the starting XI against Burnley then it will have been 2 weeks since they last played together in a competitive match. Obviously they are professional footballers that play together every day in training, but maintaining that form and mentality as a group of players going into the final is equally as important as avoiding injuries. Not playing them against Burnley reduces the chances, but I'm equally concerned about stupid injuries that could happen in training...or tripping up a curb or something daft like that. TS needs to return Benteke to his cyber-charge unit for 2 weeks, shut down his circuits into sleep mode and have him restored to full power ready to destroy Arsenal come 30th May.

Bugger momentum. I wouldn't let Benteke, Vlaar and Delph even look at the pitch against Burnley.
That's how I see it and give Gabby Senderos Sanchez Hutton starts.

3 more games shouldn't be too much more to handle. I know we've had injuries and the sort of luck you normally have after smashing a room full of mirrors but Benteke looks fit as a fiddle right now and he's loving his football so I doubt he'd even appreciate being dropped. He'd love to go out and bully a downtrodden Burnley side. Bang in a hattrick to set him up nicely for Wembley.

I would rest Grealish and give Sinclair a start perhaps, just to keep him sharp as he can be a useful option and has goals in him. I'd also rest Vlaar for the final. Give Cissokho a game if he's ready. Other than that, probably same as.

True. Particularly the half fit players. Ron looked like he was struggling to make the final whistle and Rico must be getting knackered too.

I do wonder whether Kozak will be fit in time for Burnley. Might be good to give him 20 minutes.

Delph looked like he was running on fumes. He's had a very long season when you factor in the internationals.

I've read that there is a £1.2 million difference in the prize money awarded per final league placing.

So the difference between 17th and 12th is £6 million.

I'll be very surprised if Sherwood makes wholesale changes.

You ought to have seen me after a few beers in town afterwards!

I'd be cautious about letting them do the lap of honour after the game.
