I saw a woman on Trinity Road selling half and half Villa and Arsenal scarves. I told her it was disgraceful and a lot of people around me agreed. What are they thinking?

The ones I saw read: AFC 'Pride of London' - AVFC 'Heart of the Midlands'

They might as well have put AVFC 'From Birmingham'

Steven Gerrard - lol.
Didn't he miss a penalty ?

It was a pretty horrible miss at that!

That's exactly why he got in. It was the comeback story of one mans failure and fall from grace from the spot, on the back of a red card at Man U and a cup semi final defeat to his heroic winning goal versus mighty QPR. A true Hollywood ending.

All the Liverpool fans we chatted to at Wembley were sound, with the exception of one bloke who was sat in front of us.

When they started playing YNWA, it got totally booed over by our fans, and he got all agitated and started shouting about showing "some respect". As if it were a national anthem or something.

What a kernt.

Gerrard aside I think Crooks got a lot else right.
Only picking ten players should be chalked up as a bit of an error.

As much as I dislike them to see the kos on full flight sing that is decent,  I quite like the song. Shame they nicked it.

Now therein lies a tale, because while they didn't nick it from Celtic, there's good evidence that it was first sung at another ground. And you'll never guess which club, and in which city, lay claim?

Wasn't it United? I seem to remember there's a claim they sung it first as a kind of Munich remembrance thing.

Who else? Some woman claims she and her friends sung it a few times after Munich.

Presumably if they 'nicked it' from anywhere, they nicked it from Rodgers & Hammerstein?

Wasn't the semi final the closest game Liverpool had to the anniversary of hillsborough this year? I thought in the run up to the game they were pitching it as the anniversary game
