I've seen the renders and it is, just didn't know if it was confirmed or just a proposal.

Is their new ground actually confirmed?

They've started building it as far as I know.
There's a hoarded off building site right next to WHL , I assumed that was it. Doing the groundwork by the looks of it

The Stadium of Light (Benfica) and the Emirates are totally identical, only the colours are different

I would not want our ground to be identical to any other ground in the land, however nice.

I've not been to one new ground yet that I prefer to the old one

Although I haven't been to the riverside, and would expect that to be the first as Ayrsome park had no redeeming features, least of all the locals who always gave you a nice welcome

They've started building it as far as I know.

The area has been fenced off for a couple of seasons but they've only just reached agreement with the final business that needs to move. The owners were trying to hold out but then their premises mysteriously burned down

I quite like WHL, it has a bit if character , it will be sad to see another generic meccano affair go up in its place. The view from the away end upper tier is pretty impressive .

It's in the middle of an absolute shithole though.

I remember going to an England-Holland friendly there in 2001 and a man dangling his pet dog over the balcony of his flat and threatening to drop it on us.

James Cook was from that area. Although he only became an explorer to get away from the place.
