How was Rose not pulled up for a foul before meeting Sanchez? No argument with the yellow, but Rose kicked Delph when he was still next to his corner flag. Free kick there, and Sanchez plays at Wembley.

What a different performance than the one we endured and suffered 11 months ago.

We had a go and created the only chances of the game. If we'd won 3-0, hey couldn't have complained. Defensively we were excellent, despite losing Clark, while we seemed to win ever second ball and 50/50.

Spurs looked subdued and devoid of ideas. Bentaleb is a nasty shit house, well matched with Mason in the middle. But it mattered naught.

Sanchez played well and was unlucky to have to take one for the team considering Rose fouled Cole and Delph ten seconds before without a free kick being given.

When Guzan came for the punt into the box at the end, the away end celebrated as if he had took the winning catch at the SCG. A great win.

I certainly was not bickering, I was stating facts and have made many points on a great victory

The two lads in their midfield are average at best and I reckon Sir Tim should say he had feck all to do with their lack of footballing ability

Fucking great win. Well done all. Doug is an egotistical git who put him first, say nothing more about it,move on. I can't wait to see what Sherwood does in the summer transfer window. One more win and we're safe. For me, Leicester, Burnley and Sunderland are going down.

Who was bickering? I was just saying fair play to him going home and away every week.

Regarding the game, I loved Sherwoods celebration at the end, regardless of who we played that clearly meant a lot to him.

I don't think Albion are out of it yet.

Have just watched MOTD. Sanchez's second yellow seemed a bit harsh; what was his first one like? Was he committing a lot of fouls?

I didn't think he actually touched him at all.

Hate is a strong and ugly word that should not be used lightly.

I hate Tottenham Hotspur.

I'm starting to warm to old Tim.

Whatever Ellis did in the past - and we know what it was, and almost all of it was bad - you've got to respect him for bothering to go to our matches up and down the country, aged 145.

How many of us, had we cashed out 10 years ago to the tune of 25m or so, would still bother?

Really? I mean once you get past the "IM VILLA TILL I DIE, ME" factor? When the alternatives to going to watch us play at Selhurst Park aren't "sitting at home watching it on a stream" or trawling around Touchwood with the mrs, but are doing whatever the fuck you want to do, as you can afford it?

Appreciating the fact he still does that (something which is about as far from the attachment of our current owner as it is possible to get) doesn't mean you think he did the right thing to the Barton family, or that he had our best interests in heart with the things he did in the mid 80s.
