The QPR switch to 352 has killed us and IT WAS SO FUCKING OBVIOUS. You do not play a diamond against 352. Ever.

Yep. That's another thing. Sherwood needed to react to their change to 3-5-2 much quicker. 3-5-2 always beats a 4-4-2 diamond.

A bit harsh to blame Sherwood, we've been getting to this point for at least two seasons. As far I'm im concerned this is all Lamberts doing, his team, his players.

He should have been sacked in December to give Sherwood time to add and replace.
Doesn't absolve him of continuing to play a diamond 442 against their 352 after Ramsey made his first change.

Right come on villa let's smack this fucker in
You were saying.

Well he is right in that 3-5-2 is paper to the stone of 4-4-2 diamond. Have missed the last two goals, but it's possible that two utter turd on a stick defences outweigh tactics sometimes?

Playing the diamond against Pulis' 3-5-2 gave us near-total dominance. 4-5-1/4-3-3 is the system which gives you the most advantages against the diamond, I think.

Which was idiotic. As was not giving Richardson cover after the first time Phillips skinned him.
