What Rachael Riley? or the dictionary bird? anyway, Lawro always looks like he's just woken up from being on the lash for days on end without actually having done so.

Lawrenson's the last of the jumper-wearing, bland-speaking, never criticise your mates, golf-playing pundits who have been eclipsed by technology. It's a shame, because he was a great player.

Gold star for anyone who can name the former Villa captain he played with.

Mark Lawrenson though is utterly ignorable because his opinion means next to nothing. And I'm being generous. It has zero value in terms of content. There is no effort whatsoever so it really doesn't register for me anyway. That he is a total ringpiece is undeniable.

Back to the game, I am going to assume Vlaar will play, so I wonder in the absence of Hutton whether Okore could fill in there and keep Lowton on the left?

Although if we play

Lowton Vlaar Okore Clark - we only have one defender out of position

Rather than:

Okore Vlaar Clark Lowton - 2 defenders out of position

I just think Clark is so much better suited to being a CB and being a left sided one at that. Plus he has been superb in that position so if I was to take one of the current CB's out to fill an unfamiliar role I would pick Okore. Lowton has played quite well at LB so keep him there is my opinion.

It says it all when a bunch of random people from Tv like that countdown woman are more accurate than Lawro's predictions

The Countdown woman who's specialist subject on Mastermind was Man Utd in the Premier League years....

Who is from Essex no doubt.

She is

John Devey.

I think there may be some truth behind Devey influencing Lawrenson's dodgy tache.

can't believe he's only three years older than  Gary Lineker.
