I think we will win this. At some point the understandable negativity amongst the team must reach a point where some form of bounce back must happen. All indicators say now is the time.

A DCM that can tackle would help things along, though.

Standing on my corner for all those years gave me an insight into supporter mentality. Liverpool fans were blatant gloryhunters, even more so than Manchester United. Chelsea and Sours were arrogant Cockneys, Arsenal less arrogant but with added Tarquinism. They all thought their witty asides about Brummies and accents were hugely original. And every year Newcastle supporters would say how big their club was and how small we are. Not more successful, not better, but always bigger. They are as obsessed with size as Small Heath are with us.

That's either inspired or one of the best typos ever.

1-1. Benteke for us, Beardsley for them. I'd take a point here.

Do some of you mean that the Geordie Nation aren't your second team and you actually mocked their demise for 20 seconds before going back to more important things?

Hang your heads.

A scrappy 0-0 today I reckon.
I'll watch it, but I am pretty sure that by 4:50 I'll wish I hadn't...

This game isn't the be all and end all for the season, but a win would be a massive boost ahead of the next 4-5 games that will determine our fate. Above all else, we are due some luck. The game reminds me of the game 2 years ago when we lost to Newcastle at VP but played really well in the 2nd half. That game combined with Guzans save vs QPR & Lowtons goal at Stoke turned things around for us. From that point we started to hit a bit of form & the players seemed to rally, we need the same attitude / mentality / luck from today forwards. We have to do it ourselves, players & fans.

I dreamt last night that we got beaten 4-0.

I dreamt last night myself and my family had to go into hiding from the IRA.

I had my first villa dream in many years. Oddly Tom Fox was giving me advice on renovating my stone garage - he was very contrary to my suggestions!  Very strange. Too much sugar before bed perhaps.
