We need to get a grip of the bloody midfield. We're getting bullied far too often.

We also need to stop putting high balls into the box. Sinclair's goal apart, we haven't won a single header in there. We're making it very easy for their makeshift defence.

Decent first half. Need to see more from Gabby and improvement from Gil.
We're unlucky to be level. Probably deserved to be 1-0 up.
Ireland is a little ******

So how have we been chaps?
I'm encouraged, don't know what the other miserable shits think

Lovely.
It's true....complaining over a poor pass or to much running around....it's a game of football man.

So not being as happy as a brainwashed cult member makes people 'miserable shits'? Not my place to mod, of course, but some friendly advice, poster-to-poster: tone down the language, mate.

Edit: Ah for fuck's...CHINS UP! KEEP GOING!
I wasn't directing it at you, but still to see people actually bitching about a players misplaced pass or a mistake, drives me nuts. Human beings on the pitch, not animated pixels on the tv. First game in charge his formation is being condemned ( that is aimed at you )   ::)

Still only 1 attempt at goal in 45 minutes.

Yep, still a big problem. We're not creating enough chances

Pretty good so far. Very positive going forward. We're not going to keep clean sheets like this but we at least look like we might score, and we've got decent attacking players.

We don't look like a team lacking in any attacking intent, or showing a fear of losing the ball. How long the new burst of confidence will last under Sherwood remains, but at the very least I don't think he'll settle for defeatist attitudes and demeanours on the pitch.

Hm. I think Stoke were controlling the game by the time they scored. We're not troubling their defence, they're out-muscling us in midfield and their forwards move abaahhht a bit. In contrast we look poor, mostly.

Fair enough, but people can complain I think. The language was a bit much.

Also, it could be his first game in charge or his 500th, why shouldn't I talk about the formation? FWIW, I think it has left us looking open, getting bullied in midfield and not having enough passing options in the middle which results in the hoof to Benteke (actually, hoof to the opposition). I like some things about us - more intensity, more chasing, better pressing up the pitch - but not everything, and the good things have still only resulted in one actual shot.

Other than absence of sideways passing not much different. Not sure why Gabby is on the pitch other than getting in Sinclair's way. Benteke still not good other than that lot of rain on the pitch.

We need to come out of the traps and get some moves and shots going.

Sherwood did it last week in 5 minutes.
