Remember that ridiculous monday night kick off v blues, atmosphere for this game will be equally toxic. I'll have a fiver on some lunatic running on the pitch in an anti villa t-shirt.

The atmosphere will be nowhere near that bad. We played Sandwell at that time, at 3pm and 7.45 recently with little issue. While there is hatred on both sides it's not as widespread with this game particularly with the opposition in mind.

It's far from my favourite song but hopefully those that were there for the first few games will be there for this one. Can't help but think it's hard to call folks regulars when they weren't bothered with the first 3 rounds.

What about if you are a ST holder but became so disillusioned under Lambert you didn't buy tickets to additional Cup games?

What about Leicester?

BBC Sport refers to us as "Tim Sherwood's Aston Villa".  Not something I ever thought I'd read but I'm just grateful we've moved on.

See your point, but still had a Lambert feel about it to me with his coaches in charge.

Our FA Cup quarter-final match with West Brom has been selected for TV.

All the games are on TV, so the Villa one has not been selected.

but surely it has still been selected even if it was always going to be selected? God I'm bored.

Excellent. Hopefully the regulars all turn up for this one so I won't have to endure the "stand up if you love Villa" nonsense that only ever happens in cup games

Gosh you sound like fun!

I'm with Bully on this one

And me.

Me too I have to say after Sunday. My dad and I were in our usual seats when at the start of the second half a lad of between 18 and 20 stood in the spot directly in front of us. I asked him to sit down which he refused to do suggesting I stand up and sing instead. After a few more requests he eventually offered to swap which was an acceptable compromise in the end but the whole "we'll do what we want" attitude is pretty crappy really. I got the impression that he'd been asked to do the same wherever he had been in the first half but by someone less polite than me.

I attended all three cup games but my mate never assigned the ticket to my reference for the Leicester game. Does anyone know if it is possible to reassign the ticket after the game has been played?

No it isn't. I had the same thing with a certain someone not putting my Leicester ticket on my reference. They called today to see if it could be put on mine and they said no.

Love ya Leeg x

Supporters are reminded to assign tickets to other attending supporters in order to build up booking history.

This should be completed at the point of purchase as tickets CANNOT be re-assigned once the match has been played.

I'm in a dilemma really as I have not been to Blackpool, Bournemouth or Leicester and as it happens can't make the Stripey Filth either....if I can... should I go to the Semi-Final when we make it ?

The Villa seem to be doing well in the FA Cup without me :(

It'll be less easy for Brigada to move to a block booking for this game I imagine, but those stand up moments across the lower holte weren't particularly sustained in the way that away standing is (20-30 seconds?) - still, if you did find that impaired your enjoyment that is your view & it is what it is.

I must admit tho, I (strangely now I read back)  thought that you were talking about singing rather than standing. It read straight off to me a bit like you objected to the singing rather than the impaired view & my post was an off the cuff reaction to that rather than particularly meant as pro-standing.

That said - standing for the entire second half was pretty routine in The Holte until fairly recently (it's only since it got sooo dull that this has stopped) & certainly standing is pretty commonplace for derby matches in my experience, when the atmosphere can really take off.

I'm honestly saying this to be helpful rather than objectionable, but if you don't want to stand during this game, you may prefer to locate in another stand. I know that sounds all wrong in print, but I just think that even 'the regulars' will be out of their seats for this match whether they are exhorted to 'stand up if you love Villa' or not - so you may simply enjoy the match more from a stand where this won't happen.

I completely appreciate that a 'why should I move?' response is justified - its just that the reality is that if you really don't want to be amongst people who stand up,  for an important derby game, The Holte might not provide the best place for you to enjoy the game from. I think standing for this game is likely to be at a level beyond what stewards will be able to tackle.

(I should also stay that I am pro-safe standing so that people have a choice, not so that everyone should have to stand - in the meantime we are stuck with those who want to sit being stuck behind those who are out of their seats at every opportunity - it doesn'the really help anyone)
