An Albion fan has text me to say that this week will either be the best week of his life or the worst. How incredibly sad and pathetic.

In six months, this week will be a footnote. Baggies beat one of the worst Villa teams in history? Big deal. Win an FA Cup quarter final? Call us when you win the pot, chaps.

I want to win both, because they're important games. But if we were playing York City twice in a week, I'd want to win both. The fact it's against the Tescos couldn't be lower down the list of priorities.

I'm the same but with the exception that some of my mates are Baggies fans so it would shut them up and remind them of their place.

I have Boggies mates too. Funny how you see the crests going up as Facebook profile pics after they scrape a win.

Apparently Berahino and Ideye are doubtful so we may have a chance if they are out injured...but still means we need to score a few goals which is the hard bit if we manage not to give away any more sloppy goals.

Knowing us, we'll make Victor Anichebe look like Pele.

I would like us to win. A few weeks ago I wanted us out of the cup so we could focus on the relegation scrap but now as we appear doomed anyway we may as well go for a nice day at Wembley.

A day to forget where we are as a club and enjoy a derby game for the cup!

This is the week we turn it around. We'll win Tuesday and send them packing at the weekend. I feel it.

Until you get everything right in your assessment of how things are go bother someone else. I can't be arsed with your supposed wit right now.

So it looks like Saturday isn't going to sell out. Yet looking at some of the comments on the club's Facebook posts lately it appears many Villa fans who want a ticket can't get one due to the overly strict sales criteria.

How ridiculous. Surely we need every fan we can possibly get on our side, not to mention the embarrassment of not selling out.

I totally understand the need to ensure no away fans get home tickets, however I disagree with ST holders not being allowed to buy extra seats. If I'm not mistaken ST can do this for league games regardless of the opposition?

There is still a week to go. Most people will have been paid Friday/today so their best chance of getting a ticket is Monday, the holte and North stand is nearly sold out and we will have people who decide near the end of the week to go at the last minute. Thoroughly expect 40k there

Ask him what's happening this week.

It's not an embarrassment if it's not a sell out though is it. It's not our cup final, we aren't that bothered by them, it's a changed kick off time and it's on the telly.
I expect the crowd to be more for this than the league game.

So I was thinking of taking the wife to this - she's been up a couple of times with me in the last twelve years.

Obviously I've never assigned tickets to a profile that she's got no reason to bother having. So presumably there is no way that the club will sell her a ticket (even if I'm buying it with a booking history going back nearly two decades), and by consequence no chance that I'll be going either?

What a sensible ticket policy.
