There have always been players like Leo, enigmatic and baffling.  They make you want to throw your hat in the air one minute and your hair the next.   We have more than our fair share of them.

Love the Clark tackle but many a ref would have brandished a yellow there.

Thought Cleverly had his best game in Claret and Blue today.

Yep...The game seems to frown on tacklers these days...but if you can dive then the world's your oyster.

Some pleasing changes second half with the midfield looking to push on and hit the box. We were unbalanced at times with nobody advanced of Cissokho, but we looked more threatening and scored two goals from midfield and one from a sub too.

Plenty to work on, but better.

Almost the best moment in the game for me.
Loved it!

Three little things that caught my eye today.   First and obvious one, how hard Andi Weimann works.   Second that Cleverley actually has a good turn of speed and that Sinclair is bloody quick.

Only just in and I haven't read all the posts so apologise if someone has already said this but I think Sherwood would be able to see some very obvious strengths and very obvious weaknesses in today's game that he can be confident in working on.

Second half so much better than the first, but incredibly pi**ed off that we conceded a late goal - AGAIN!

Onwards and upwards...come on you Villa boys!

Lionel Martin comes to mind.

This.

I haven't seen all of his games but it was the best of the ones I have seen.

Not exactly a high bar to clear.

TC was ok today, which combined with him also being ok against Chelsea is a definite improvement

Given made one brilliant save but as we know he is not too clever on crosses. Guzan commands his area in most situations. Let Given have the cup games.

I know he's slightly biased as he's Shay's mate, but Kevin Kilbane has been really scathing about Guzan on Twitter.

However, I think Given deserves a run now.
