He is a clueless waster and should be out on his arse today. I mean it very seriously when I say I shall not watch us again until the fucking charlatan is removed from the club.

lf he had taken a sensible tactical approach this season and stuck with a formation and set of players to deliver i would have sympathy.if he had made changes to protect the lead i would have had sympathy. If he had done more to change it when it wasn't working against Sunderland i would have sympathy. If he had not started a totally shambolic side against Notts in the cup i would .... But he did. Lerner is an issue no doubt but this guy had the tools to be easily outside the bottom 3. Just rubbish. He has to go. ASAP

GED had to be coaxed into coming too I recall.

if you are referring to Houllier, then you are correct. He had concerns about his health and being too old, all of which proved to be correct. I think he had an easy  and cushy role at the French FA which he was reluctant to give up. he should have stayed in Paris

Please tell me this is untrue.

Ozz you sum up my feelings perfectly. If at any point early in the season he had draughted his outline of his best team and worked from a basic blueprint I could forgive him for all the personal self promotion and bullshit.  However, he has gone down the worst possible route of trial and error culminating in fielding a team yesterday for a massive game with Guzan, Agbonlahor, Lescott and Richardson in it when each one of them had no justification of holding down a first team starting place.

And, he admitted as much in the article from the Grauniad yesterday, where he admitted that he was still trying to find the right formula.
For me, he has committed the same 'offence' as TSMII, by isolating certain players - Veretout and Kozak, for example - and favouring others.
Yesterday's team was another bizarre selection, where again the central MF always looked too light from the start ... and particularly after we took the lead.
He is a nonce. End of.

Another thought that's just struck me about charlatan Sherwood's "Not my signings, nothing to with me" routine is that he's basically admitting that his much vaunted coaching and developing of young talent skills are basically a crock of shit as well.

Houlliers heart condition was nothing to do with stress, though, it was congenital.

Even when we took the lead, Shelvey was walking at our back 4 behind our 1 recognised centre mid way too often. Bacuna did well in fairness with Gueye, but there needed to be another centre mid in there as soon as we edged in front.

No need for the last line really.

Especially as Gestede had no influence at all in the build up to our attacks, so replacing him with Sanchez or Veretout, Gardner (if they were on the bench) would have at least given us a foothold in midfield. I thought Bacuna and Gueye did OK to be fair, but we all thought that the midfield was too light going into the game (it is ever thus this season), so it was hardly a surprise we leaked two cheap goals...again.

My opinion is our problems started when we appointed Houllier. Not as bad a choice as McLeish of course but we'd just finished top 6 three times in a row, we should've been an attractive proposition considering some of the managers other clubs who finish in that position pick up.

I wasn't impressed we appointed someone in semi retirement, we were very lucky to finish 9th that season, it was a very flattering finish considering we were just above the relegation zone in the middle of March, that gave us a taster for the next few years as luckily we still had a pretty good squad that season.
