Right, so I get why some are being a bit pissy about him calling us boring and saying some players need to take a step up but.....has he really said anything that bad? I mean really? Unfortunately, I don't think we are in a position squad/confidence wise to have an inexperienced manager learning on the job so I think he needs to go unless we beat Swansea on Saturday but let's calm down a bit. There are a lot of conspiracists attributing every comment in the media to him via "his mates" but our media is full of stupid ex pros and people clambering for their moment in the sun trying to make out they are itk. There are a few on that pitch still fighting for him, I think a bit of luck could turn it around. He is still talking as if he thinks he will be here for a while
Also, what he's said today and recently is in the same line - always blaming the players like it's nothing to do with him. That's the absolute first thing a manager must not do, and you always knew that things at Man United had got bad when Ferguson criticised the players in public because he'd reached the last resort. Sherwood does it instantly, just to make sure he's looking after Number One. It's really annoying.

As annoying as it was for us when Lambert was saying "we were excellent" etc, I used to say that I wouldn't want him slating the players in public, but I hope he is tearing a strip off them in the dressing room. As you say, only criticise as a last resort. With Sherwood it seems his default setting is to publicly blame anyone but himself.
Let's make this clear, Fox will be hurting at how his man is behaving. He really isn't as daft as some people make out. I can assure you he is a shrewd and ruthless fucker.
But on the other hand there are successful managers who do call the players out when they are letting their club down--mourinho for one. I don't know, maybe I'm clutching at straws but I'm hoping he is trying to get a reaction from some of them.

Sorry, but anybody who is going to put Tim Sherwood on a shortlist of managers of one and have to "convince him" to take the job can in no way be described as "shrewd".He might well be ruthless, but he's shown that he is every bit as incompetent as anybody who has gone before him when it comes to picking a football manager.
What narrative does Fox want us to follow now?
