TS looked very emotional and pissed off in his post game interview (MOTD2)...I'm glad that he was as emotional and pissed off as me. The fans were excellent today and he knows he owes us after todays result. If there is one tiny but of consolation out of the result today, it's that it was unlikely that we'd win all 3 of these derby games, and today is the only one that I don't actually mind losing if it means that we beat Baggies and Blues...I think Baggies are going to feel some pain next weekend, and the cup game will be an emotional rollercoaster and we'll need to play our part in both games (the addition of Gueye and Traore will also help massively!).In terms of the subs today...Veretout really was the only player that should have been considered if he needed to replace Gil...BunnClarkGestedeAyewVeretoutRichardsonHutton...I'm sure Veretout could have done a job for 30 minutes, and even in a worst case scenario the you bring on Clark, Richardson or Hutton and push Bacuna into midfield. You don't under any circumstances weaken our midfield by bringing on a forward who has barely kicked a ball let alone come close to even prove he's good enough at this level to see out a game.TS...I'm glad your upset, and so you fuckin should be.
Bottom line is as a midfield, when you allow Drinkwater to win the game you know you have massive problems .

We could do with bringing a shrink in to sort the players heads out.Once he's finished on here maybe you can let the team have him.As for Sanchez, you'd struggle to find a Villa fan on here who didn't think Sanchez was the best player on the pitch first half.I'd love to see his stats for ground covered and this a player that intelligently tries not to waste energy. If Sanchez is our problem we're doomed.

He's happy with his subs according to the Meaning Evil.

While I can just about understand him not willing to admit he got the substitutions wrong in public, Sherwood can't then decide to heap all the blame on the errors of individuals (we were under so much pressure second half, mistakes were inevitable once we gave them a foothold in the game). It's more or less exactly what he did at Spurs. They got hammered at Chelsea, and Sherwood castigates his players in the post match interview to deflect any blame away from himself. I don't even thing it's intentional, more an instinct of survival. He's tactically inept, and I don't think he's the type to learn from his mistakes, because his arrogance, pigheadedness, lack of functioning brain cells, etc. simply won't let him. If I was this Henrik guy, I'd be sounding out various managerial candidates now, because I just don't think Sherwood is up to management at this level. He's like a Keegan, or a Stuart Pearce, great at motivation, but rubbish at pretty much everything else you need in football management.I hope I'm wrong though.

The only thing I would say is that didn't think he made it clear who the blame was on, when he said "we" that could be a collective thing. I think much of it comes from the manager anyway, but then I can see how yesterday was very much down to the players making mistakes more than him.
