Any reason for Sherwood not talking to the media?  Strikes me as odd considering he isn't afraid to speak his mind.

Busy taking French lessons.

Or finishing his coaching badges.

Has TS not got all his coaching badges?

Still completing his UEFA Pro Licence course, I think.  He has all the rest, except SAF game time management.

Haha. Cheers Old Man Villa Fan. I think the SAF game time management licence is extremely exclusive. Rumour has it, it borders on a quest ;-)

He hasn't been picking up business cards in telephone boxes again has he.

Are you confusing him with David Pleat?

That's just not true.  He was in his car for all three cautions so opening a phone box door just would not have been an option.

He did go for a massage in his club tracksuit one time but that had nothing to do with 'the French'.  Sorry, that was Mr X, a PL manager.

I just about remember Tim saying after the Cup Final that he promised things would get better for us, even though we were hurting so much at the time.

He's been weeding out the deadwood and, with the help of his staff, buying in so much in the way of promising young players.

I'm really impressed and more hopeful for a season than I've been for years.

...in other news, Rickie Lambert signs for the Bitters (guffaw).

Sod it, I am going all in fanboy mode. All aboard the Sherwood express. Love the fact he has had the balls & backing to do a clear out, surprised and delighted instead of signing over priced premier league has beens he has signed exciting new players from other leagues, love his attack minded tactics.

Keep at it Tim!

He's basically running the Villa in the same way I would on Championship Manager, so no complaints here.

At the risk of sounding marginally miserable but even if it goes pear shaped for Sherwood this season, he'd leave behind for the next manager a group of players significantly stronger it appears than the one he inherited.

However I have no reason to believe that it will even come to that. I'll be so happy to enjoy a solid mid table season.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think Tim would bring in so many new players, him sitting down with Fox or Lerner would be the polar opposite of Lambert doing the same, he would have really spelt out what was needed and the consequences of being timid in the market and they have responded, I would think with that personality of his he can be very persuasive, its amazing how different this summer feels to the last 5, well done Tim.

I doubt it took much persuasion, especially when they learnt that the best parts of a team that finished 17th were leaving.

I look forward to us finishing above Spurs under him and them trying to get hm back, only for Tim to call Levy a slag.
