He's brilliant. I feel the way I did when BFR replaced Dr Jo and MON replaced O'Leary, its fun again.

Saturday wasn't fun...but not blaming Sherwood for that shambles.

edit:
The day as a whole was fun, enjoyable and I can only thank Sherwood for that otherwise I wouldn't have been there...the actual 90 minutes of football though can be erased from memory. A few weeks of excitement looking forward to the game, enjoying a party atmosphere with 3000 Villa fans at the last away game of the season, anticipation of celebrating a win and avoiding relegation without relying on other teams...destroyed in the space of 3 minutes watching some of the most amateurish defending I've ever witnessed in my life.

Sherwood got the tactics wrong, asking the back 4 to play such a high line. But, he's got to find out if these current players are capable of doing these sort of things. He knows the answer now. I don't expect to see such a performance again soon.

I am a little disappointed at the suggestion of a McGrath day for Sunday. It would have been more appropriate to do a "thanks Tim" day for me.

What we can say for certain about Tim is that with the right result on May 30th he  will be in the pantheon regardless of anything else he does or doesn't do.

I was very much against us appointing TS, I thought it was a mistake.

Not the firing of Lambert, that should have come on any number of previous occasions, but to go or a rookie like Sherwood was a dumb decision - or so I thought.

Fact is, he's done a remarkable job, a job that only those of us who follow the Club and know what a total mess we were in can really quantify the improvement. Look at our improvement in the goals scored department, look at the improvement of individuals, the emergence of Grealish, our playing style , the way the crowds have flocked back etc.

Personally, I don't  think TS has had anywhere near the credit from the national media for the turnaround. We were in a mess of Billy McNeillesque proportions.

I was wrong and it's great. Well done Tim.

I think the majority of outsiders didn't realise how desperate the situation was.  The likes of McInally and rent a gob Adrian Durham keep saying we would have stayed up under Lambert.  I honestly don't think we'd have picked up another win had he stayed.  After that game at Hull, there seemed no hope at all.
Agreed - desperate stuff.
If people are saying that PL would have kept us up, refer them to the Barcodes and their downward trajectory: we had the same southbound momentum..

I take issue with that.

There is nothing wrong with being in the South.

Ramsey signed 3 year contract at QPR. Shame.

yes I think he is a good coach . I thought Fernandez had tweeted he had got his dream manager lined up for the summer ??
What I thought too...and hoping that TS could use his influence to bring Ramsey here.
Perhaps Fernandez has already started cutting his cloth...

I remember a few people saying Sherwood reminded them of John Gregory and in fairness he's repeated the trick of getting us out of trouble, although we were in a far worse position now than back then.  Getting to a cup final and with a bit of style are bonuses.   And with the crowds starting to flock back, he's definitely proved a lot of people wrong.  The fact that our friends in Smethwick  have dedicated a song to him says it all.

Thinking about that Hull game, theres an argument to be made that winning that one probably would've relegated us.

I remember that night, well it was daytime actually, I was in New Jersey, it was a miserable freezing day, lots of snow and I was just stunned when I saw their second go in by way of a text update.  I had to go out in the evening to dinner with colleagues and I was fucking miserable and it showed.  I really thought that was it, we were at absolute rock bottom but thank goodness Tom Fox flipped the coin or we'd have been down weeks ago and no way would we be in a cup final.

So thanks Tom and thanks Tim, great job so far, keep it up and don't be shit.

Sold out against Burnley. Fair play. Hope TS can take us up towards the top eight and gets the backing to do so. Done a good job so far. He has no fear of losing. Some fun times ahead I hope.

I will be wearing stubble and a cheeky grin.

As I'm in the Trinity I'll probably be arrested for exuberance.
