I can't imagine there would have been a massive queue of illustrious managers willing to work for this shower of underachieving c***s either.
Sad, but true.

Don't like him. But we don't have a choice now but to get behind him.

Undecided if I'm unhappy or not but a couple of devils advocate points:

- Sherwood has won just as much as Pulis as a manager
- Arrogance and obnoxiousness hasn't done Mourihno or Van Gaal any harm
- If we are winning does it really matter if you want to have a pint with the man or not?
- Maybe some home grown talent might get a proper chance

Very glad this appointment was made without listening to the mob. That was how the last appointment was made!

The appointment before last was made "without listening to the mob". Remember that one?

Well, he got some decent results at Spurs, as has been reported works with young players well and doesn't mince his words. Let's hope our misgivings are unfounded.

yes ive heard that.

looking forward to ruffled feathers, re hes language.

Tim "right you f@ckers get out there and f@ck em up"

players "but boss?"

Tim "do you f@ckin want some"

yes im looking forward to his reign.

Welcome Tim of Sherwood

Congratulations, you fucking idiots, you've added another embarrassing entry to your list of shit appointments.

We really have given up.

Bit over the top

Welcome Tim. I think you're a good fit and just what we need. Polar opposite to Lambert, the players won't know what's hit them!

I don't really care if the Villa manager is a nice or personable bloke - I'm pretty sure Ron Saunders wasn't.

He just needs to do the job of keeping us up this season, and making sure we're not in another relegation dogfight next season.

He looks fresh faced with not a grey hair. He won't look like that after the Villa 'experience', will be needing John Gregory's hair dye soon.
Hopefully the fans will get behind him, we all need to be a positive as we can to get out of this mess.

Oh dear, that is not what we wanted is it children? The AVST meeting should be entertaining especially if we lose to Leicester in the cup.

A depressing appointment, and not just to the end of the season as well.

If we lose in FA Cup it will have absolutely sod all to do with Sherwood's appointment less than 24 hours before the game.

A bit sad and bewildered by half the thread calling him all manner of negative things. He's got his badges so is not just some thick fucker from the wrong side of the Watford gap. He has an impressive record of developing youth cf. bringing through the hottest property in English football right now and if his motivational powers are good enough to get Adebayor looking consistently good are owt to go by, who knows how much he may be able to coax from Benteke, N'Zog and our other talented under-performers?

I think he will galvanize us, its about time we had a bit of brazen arrogance about the place, we've been far too nice for years. So, welcome Tim. Fook the begrudgers - unless you start acting the twat and cant turn us around.

Can't say I'm surprised. Lets not fool ourselves though, after previous appointments this shouldn't surprise us.

He's in now so let's support him.

Didnt think he had a UEFA licence ?? Not alot of thought gone into this appointment as per usual. Did we even approach any of the people touted on here by you learned gentlemen ??

Time will tell reminds me of a comment that the legendary Rodney Marsh made about us it rings a bit true at the moment
