He needs to learn that us trying to kill a game will not work.

Why is it laughable, he made some poor decisions today that ultimately helped lose control of a game we were on top in.

He tried to win the game. It was a positive substitution, he just picked the wrong man to take off and I think that cost us the first goal.

Nagging doubt definitely still there.
The nagging doubt has become a confirmed problem for me. I'm not saying get rid of him, or that his deficiencies mean he'll definitely be a failure, but it makes it an awful lot harder for him to succeed if he's unable to change things during a game.
Agreed.

It's more keeping Gabby on, for me. Christ knows what he has to do to get dropped.

Sherwood on Talksport: "My remit in the team is to keep them in the league. Nothing more."

He really shouldn't come out with statements like that.

Are we ignoring Bournemouth when the manager brought on a player who changed the game? There are lot of people who made their minds up in Februrary about is manager.

Monty, agreed. Getting Adama and Grealish closer to Gestede would have been positive and still kept the midfield three who had stopped Palace successfully for most of the game.

The flipside to todays coin is...if TS takes the criticism for the second half, then he deserves plaudits for dominating the first half (just the failings of Gabby that prevented us from being ahead at half time).

Very well articulated. I completely agree. I like Sherwood and, of course, am desperate for him to succeed, but tactical deficiencies were glaring in the second half.

So that's another one in which he's been unable / unwilling to make the necessary changes mid-game. Has there been a single game so far where his substitutions / tactical switches have made any difference? I can't think of any.

We had enough of that with Lambert.
Strange substitution today, withdrawing Sanchez. Didn't understand that at all

His demeanor in the last few months seems to have changed.  Maybe things aren't as rosy in the garden behind the scenes as the club making out.
