Love him, great move by Sherwood to make him captain. He loves he club and we love him. He has matured massively this season eradicating the yellows he got every game and dominating games.

Him and Cleverley look like they love playing together, which is fucking fine by me.

" Sherwood cannot get enough of the Villa captain. “I thought Fabian Delph showed why he’s probably, in my opinion, the best midfield player in the country at the moment. I wouldn’t swap him from anyone in the mess we’re in,” he said. “It’s not only about energy and desire, it’s about flair and imagination. He’s got the whole package."
Well said Tim. Delph was amazing today.

not long ago a lot of people would have dumped him. Now, he is possibly on his way to being one of our best players of all time.

Delph is going to become a Villa legend. He's got the skills, work rate, pace, passing, good shot and determination...he drives the midfield and he's developing into the full package. Also noticed how he encouraged Jack to throw his shirt into the crowd at the end of the game and walked last off the pitch together (as they do in training apparently)...a moment where you can tell the team spirit is very good and that Delph is a great captain.

I just want to join the Delph love in. What a great attitude that boy has, alongside the more obvious skills on the pitch. Hopefully a great captain in the making.

Have we got a song for him yet?...
He needs to know how much he's loved!!
Superb performance from our captain again today, a legend in the making.

Good point about the song. His performances are just getting better and better. I thought he was incredible yesterday despite being kicked all over the place

Yeah that does scan better you're right. Will people sing that though? Maybe that song is better for Cleverley.

Another made up song on our coach back from Wembley....
To the tune of Abba's 'Fernando'
There was something in the air that night
The stars were bright, Oh Fabian
They were shining there for you and me
For victory, oh Fabiannnnnn
fades into
.....
Fabian Delph, Delph, Delph
Fabian Delph, Delph, Delph
Fabian Delph, Delph, Delph

Erm....no
That was the general consensus at the time too. But, it did sow a seed in our heads as we persevered with it.
