Well that's got the day off to a good start.

Let's hope that wasn't the high point.

Oh and to all the newspapers flogging him to Liverpool or Spurs for us.

Perhaps Delph knows about a change of ownership. Quick, over to TBAR for some conspiracy theories!

Great news, so why isn't he bloody playing today?

I have offered an explanation in the Delph signs new deal thread

Ex Leeds player Delph must be missing Championship football.

Best thing about the Villa all season, after Gil's stepover.   Thank you Fabian.

Right, fingers crossed, I hope to set a record for the season by watching MOTD two nights running...

Fab-ulous news.

Feel free to use that one Dave

Dave is a pro writer in the modern era. I'd go with 'Delphie Sticks'.

Well up for this. Feels like a proper cup match. Shame TC got some boos though.

He's been playing nearly two minutes and you can see already that Gil is moving about into space too much. How the fuck the rest of the lads are supposed to pass to him when he keeps moving about, I don't know.

I trust Lambert and his coaches will address this in training over the coming weeks.

I haven't been in a match thread for ages, even down the game or watching it at the pub so are we even allowed to ask if anyone has a stream as I think Setanta Ireland are showing it....
