Villa win. Lambert gets a result when he needs it and Liverpool are pretty unimpressive this season.

Also a Villa win. 2-1. If Gil, the man with skill, plays from kick off I for one will be amazed.

Villa go 2 behind in the first 8 minutes then come back and destroy Liverpool.

Is it too early in the day to consume magic mushrooms?

a win and I don't care how....time for our first "double" of the season as Liverpool are pretty unimpressive even though the delusional plastic ones in our village still believe they are in a race for their own double of Champions League and fourth place...

We normally get beat by man u, we didn't. We normally lose to Liverpool but we might not. We probably will but I've gone for a score draw.

I'll be surprised if Gil plays as well, it'll be too early or some shit like that

0-2 (Heighway, Neal pen)

We were excellent. Just excellent. We had the same amount of possession, 45% each, and we only had 2 fewer shots. They had 1 and a penalty. The lads were great - the passing and the passion.

We can't compete with the likes of Liverpool. It's only 10 years since they won their last Champions League.

The fans need to realise that we are aiming to score a few more goals this season and be realistic that we may lose next week by a similar score to Bournemouth. They need to manage their own expectations.

3-1 to Liverpool. Ian Rush to score with a shot that knocks the camera over in the back of the net

Have you noticed Lambert hasn't used the word 'excellent' in his last couple of interviews with the gutter press. He either reads the forums or the PR people at VP have had a quiet word in his shell like!

Which is...er.. excellent!

We've done the double over them once in my lifetime and can't see that changing. They've turned into another Arsenal/Middlesbrough/Wigan team in that we tend to well away but invariably lose to them at Villa Park.

I can see Gerrard getting one last dubious decision at Villa Park, for old time's sake, and us never threatening to equalise.

I think it's telling that this thread has only been started today. A monumental lack of enthusiasm for most likely another miserable afternoon.

Having said which it will be my first match since October. I'm looking forward to lunch and beer.

92/93? Deano double at VP and Ronnie Rozenthal hitting the cross bar with the goal gaping? 2-1 at thier place, think Deano scored again.

Even though Deano won't be there Liverpool's defence does look about as steady as a ceasfire in Ukraine so i think we'll score. 1-1.
