The question needs to be asked, what level team could we play and comfortably beat? It's below the Championship, we know that.
I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that a better manager and coach could have this squad out playing and beating any one outside of the top 6 regularly. He is not achieving a sum of more than the parts available

You'll get the fonz at 16's to score the first goal.

Don't think I have ever watched a La Liga game where the game has gone on for longer than 45 seconds until the ref blows his whistle.

Well. We lost to Sheff Utd at home and they're in the First division.
We also lost to Bradford away and they're in the second division.

So it wouldn't be too extreme to say that under Lambert we need to play a conference side to win comfortably.

I think seeing a non-league outfit like Blyth Spartans go two goals up shows even the very best can struggle at times.  :o

We beat Leicester pretty comfortably, I thought.

Exactly. This team is not as bad as this.

If we had been 2-0 down to Blythe yesterday at half time I would have zero confidence in us being able to come back into it.

Maybe just maybe they were told at HT to pass to Benteke & he was told to run at defenders. Signs it should work eventually.

That is the argument which most damns Lambert.

All the stuff about restricted budgets is fair enough, but does anyone really think he consistently gets anything like the best out of what he has?

2-1? Watch the last 5 minutes again, not comfortable by my definition.

Leicester also went down to ten men to help us, too.
