Fair play Baker he did well today, I just watched the game back on delay and was just convinced we'd concede in the second half so very happy with that.

Today I are mostly been enjoyin' bein' in a pub full of scouse fans.  Lovely result.  Baker was excellent =O!!  Senderos solid again, Cleverley not inept and Guzan hardly had to make a save.  Favourite commentator moment was about the half hour mark when they said "Villa can't keep sitting back like this, because a goal is coming."    Would have been fun to go on and score 3 but the point are what really matter and as such the job was done exceedingly well.  Good work chaps.

Nice to see Wolfy was there on the front row of the away end today.

Hopefully people will cut baker some rope now

Thing is he fully deserved the grief he got as much as he deserves much praise tonight. He's been awful at times. He was superb today.

Hats off to the manager tonight, he got it nailed on tactically.

I wonder whose tactics they were.
Roy may be a big influence on life at Villa currently.
Did you read Jack's little piece about Keane in training when after half an hour he asked JG when he would start training?

Didn't want Senderos                                                  - got that one wrong

Thought Dwight York didn't
have a good word to say about the Villa                       - got that one wrong

Thought we would be in another relegation battle         - got that one wrong

Listening to the wanker of a sky reporter trying            - everything that's wrong
his best to get Senderos a retrospective ban                   sky's gloryhunting agenda

Fuck em - love the Villa - well done lads.

He had some great games last season too with inferior full backs for support .

I agree bernaboy - Loved the Given quote that "Roy came in and did some coaching" and he sounded surprised that such a thing should happen!

I thought that was the perfect away game by Villa today, the first 20 minutes we played some excellent stuff took the lead then PL changed formation and almost totally snuffed Liverpool out for the rest of the game by the whole team working their socks off and limiting Liverpool to just one shot on target.

Well done to PL for his tactics today, that was the first time in a long while I could totally relax for the whole of the second half watching us defend a one goal lead.

I agree to an extent but I always think these 'deserved wins' after a backs-to-the-wall performance are pretty fickle. Coutinho's shot flies in, what then? It's all what ifs but ultimately Liverpool didn't do enough today. I'm not convinced that playing without any attacking intent for most of the game is the way to go.

You carry on being as miserable as you like. The rest of us can celebrate a win at Anfield.

I agree with both of you. Going back to the Small Faces thing - what were you on about  Dave?
