I never really understood the hype surrounding Tom Ince even when he was average. Seeing him today in 'action' said it all really.

What a difference pressing the opposition makes. Enjoyed watching them today - save the frantic ending - especially during a fine first half. Gabby at his absolute best - think he's been short and confidence and lining up against Davies today I reckon he fancied his chances. Delph & Westwood both had very good games too.

Just sorting the defence makes such a difference - we look less rushed in possession and quite capable of winning a game by an odd goal whereas I'd never have backed us to do that last year. My only fear is the continuation of that trend depends very much on keeping that back four fit.

Nice to see team mates looking after Grealish too. Big talent, we need to look after him.

I'm on my hols in Ibiza so it's only right that SOTC & I missed another win - we only saw 2 out of 7 last season.

There's talk from the folks who sit around us that we're going to be banned from going again this season!

If Downing had been on the receiving end of just one if those tackles Jack Grealish got he would have been stretchered off and been out for a couple of months.  What Clattenberg allowed to happen over not one but a clearly orchestrated series of heavy fouls on a young, special player is one of the factors why promising young superstars of the future fall by the wayside. They get targeted and they get no protection.

Sterling won't be next because he's several classes above the two players you've mentioned there.

I didn't even realise he was on  the pitch until he got subbed.

I liked that he just kept getting back up. He didn't roll around or let himself be bullied, but got up and when he picked up the ball, he drove at the pub players and put fear into them.

It worked against Hull anyway. It broke up the play and it really wound up the crowd. I was doing my nut!

No I didnt either. I didnt notice Ron Vlaar in the first half Senderous appeared to be taking charge of everything. That is called accepting responsilbility. A very good sign.
