Think it was mentioned but on top of the inevitable Delph news, Richard Keyes on Al-Jizz TV announced Vlaar "done deal" to Yanited in Jan. The whole club is like a seeping mis-managed pool of puss. The Crown Jewels are lost while we reward Lambert and Gabby with big money long term deals.

It doesn't take a genius to know there is more truth in this story than not.Let's be honest, this is no surprise. Why commit to a new deal, when he is at his peak earning potential? He's going.I don't know if he's going or not but I'm certainly not going to start wetting myself about it.

But we've given the incumbent manager a new 4 year deal. Can't see him going anywhere soon and if he does it's going to be costly.

I don't know whether the Telegraph story is true or not but I'm looking at it like this. If we have offered Delph a new deal and he's turned it down then that's his choice and there's not a lot we can do.If we haven't offered him a deal at all, then there's something wrong somewhere and fans have a right to question it.

Basically 2 of our 4 pivotal players (Delph/Vlaar plus Bentekke/Guzan) are likely to leave for little or no fee because a lack of foresight at the club to arrange contracts 12 months ago and you aren't particularly bothered?
