I wouldn't risk Cissoko and i don't think he will. Got no problems with Vlaar playing though.
Yup no way Aly will play on Wednesday.

Why risk vlaar ? Play Clark or even Herd at CB alongside Swiss Phil or Okore if fit ?

He could just as easily get injured in training or against Hull at the weekend. Okore got injured in a league game.

3 games in a week for vlaar is pushing it. If we can't see off LO without him we have bigger problems than I envisaged.

John Chiedozie is their danger man.

Play the kids. If we win then consider it a bonus, but this year is about survival. We are in no position to sustain a cup run.

Given, Lowton, Okore, Senderos, Richardson, Westwood, El Ahmadi, Bacuna, Cole, Weimann, Bent

We've made a decent start.  Hopefully some of those who have not featured too much will have a point to prove.

I don't agree with that at all. Who said we are in survival mode? We have a deeper squad than at any time under Lambert and in one of those years we blew a massive chance of making the finals in the League Cup. Look at some of the past winners of this competition. We have every opportunity of going far and not having it affect our league campaign. In fact it will help it.

Hope you are right.

I will not feel we are out of survival mode until November comes and we are comfortably mid table. Till then I am eyeing the september of doom schedule with nervous eyes.

I have a moral dilemma. A friend of mine is visting on Wednesday with a 6 year old lad. The poor lads dad died recently (sadly) even though he was a nose. Question do I respect his dad's wishes to let him be brought up as a nose. Or do I do my moral duty and take him to VP on Wednesday?

Duty or respect?

I don't think it is a case of playing the kids. We have senior players who deserve a chance to stake their claim. Given, Lowton, Okore, Cole, el Ahmadi, Sanchez, Bent and Grealish.
