Took my lad to his first game when we relegated them.  He thought every game would be that funny!

Newcastle are the only club that I really dislike. This stems from seeing Alan 'Butter-wouldn't-melt' Shearer kick out at Bosnich long after the ball had gone.

Therefore, being present to see Villa relegate Newcastle was also a highlight for me.

Brother's wedding in '99 - Newcastle away, won.
Cousin's wedding in '05 - Newcastle at home, won.
My wedding in '11 - Newcastle at home, won.

I need someone in my family to get married on Saturday.

According to the official site Lambert has confirmed that both Carlos Sanchez and Joe Cole will be in the squad on Saturday. Baker must be cert to lose his place on the bench, but I wonder who else will. KEA?

If the rumours about him wanting to leave are true then I'd say that's very likely; shame as I always had a bit of a soft spot for him.

2-0 Villa. Bringing my daughter to her first game.

Welcome back young man. Hope your Daughter enjoys the experience and Villa can get the right result for her first game.

Took my lad to his first game when we relegated them.  He thought every game would be that funny!

He was spot on then, if only for all the wrong reasons...

Us 0-2 them
Are they planning the 17th min thing all season ?

Nah, can't see us losing this one. Watched Newcastle against Man City and they looked shite. 2-1 to Villa.

Really, I must have been watching a different game for 93 minutes then.

They looked less threatening than we did, the late 1on1 and the shot onto the bar were the only decent chances they made. They looked okay at the back and played in front of man city nicely but there wasn't much to worry about there. The kid up front looked good when he came on though.

With the gap between the top teams and most of the rest it seems only fair to judge the likes of us and Newcastle against them on weather we put full effort in, have some sort of a game plan, and at least make life a bit difficult for them anything else is a bonus.

I thought Newcastle looked very good against CiŁy. Yes they lost but they were playing a far superior side to Stoke who I maintain are my dark horses for relegation. They have 2 of the horsemen of the apocalypse on board in Sidwell and Ireland .

Baker shouldn't be anywhere near a Villa bench. He needs to be moved on. Same goes for Clark. I'm afraid they are frankly not good enough at this level. It would free up the best part of Ł3m per year in wages if we could.

Roy Keane obviously knows if Clark has what it takes. I would keep him as a squad player at the moment to cover for injuries et al.

KEA could stay, nobody would notice.

I am glad the Villa have text me to say its a 12:45 kick off! I would have been half way down the M6 when they were kicking off for the second half!

A mate of mine has just text me saying the same (well not the motorway bit). He didn't know either.

I had the text but already knew it was 12.45 purely by chance. I texted a non-ST mate who didn't know the KO was 12.45, so I guess there'll be a few turning up pretty late
