Ipswich. I remember going there a few months after the pub bombings and the twats started singing "There was a tavern in the town" and "Here we go round the Mulberry Bush."
SHA,Coventry,SHA, Leeds,SHA, Millwall oh and SHA.

It always annoyed me in '81 when the media were all over Ipswich and we pi**ed on their party.

Apparently we only won the title because they were playing a lot of FA Cup and European games on top of their league schedule. Apparently they were a better team than us. Which is an interesting opinion considering in the following two years we went on to win the European Cup and European Super Cup and they won bugger all.

I still love that even now, 33 years later they still go on about it, don't you Mr Brazil?

Maybe they shouldn't have prematurely started celebrating their title win in the dressing room at Villa Park. Because having recently read Kenny Swain's autobiography it really pumped the Villa players up.

Only thing is in their defence is that they beat us 3 times that season but we still won the league, happy days.

Why don't they ever bang on about how they should have won the league the year after, but Liverpool won because they cheated in some way, like by winning more matches than them?

Worth pointing out that we finished miles ahead of Ipswich in the end, it would have been a bigger margin of victory if it was 3 points for a win.

They can moan and accuse and claim that they were a better team, but we won it because we deserved to.

We took 4 points of Man Utd in 1992/93 and knocked them out of the League Cup - it meant bugger all in the end though.

They got four points from their last eight games.

As mentioned by Russel i was gutted to see QPR come back up. Detest that ground. Baggies after the last two years (i live in the area, pray for me), irritating bastards.

The dream - Chelsea. Hate their fans. I find cockneys pretty annoying on the whole.

I didn't know that. I've stored that information away for future reference/use against tractor boys.

They also lost to Norwich in their only derby. We played approximately 78 (I can't be arsed to work out how many) derbies that season and didn't lose a single one.

And it also gave birth to one of the most famous Villa quotes... "Do you want to bet against us?"

That quote still sends a tingle down my spine

We didn't deserve to lose the game at Villa Park against them and we were robbed by a blatant handball in the FA Cup game at their place.

In the past I have quite liked Norwich, but recently a couple of their fans I have met just can't seem to get over Lambert leaving them for us.  I am guessing right about now that some Villa fans would be happy to give him back to them ;)
