Sunderland fans seem to get home very early each week

Sunderland were absolutely atrocious. Their defence was all over the place.
Think it's fair to say John O'Shea is finished at this level.

Anywhere between £60,000 - £80,000 per week, depending on which reports you want to believe.

Until he is 35 years old.

Their defending today was atrocious. Lescott was appalling for the first equaliser.
Can't see them getting another point. Shame.

Newcastle away is their best chance, although you can see them also beating an inconsistent Liverpool as well. They will stay up unfortunately but its comedy gold hearing them a  bit worried and having lost the swagger of a couple of months ago

Makes you realise how atrocious Newcastle must have been last week - I wouldn't be that surprised to see them struggling around near the bottom next season

Just saw the Sunderland game from yesterday and they truly are awful, especially John O'Shea. I bet he's a popular chap on that part of the North East today.

I genuinely don't think I've ever seen a slower top flight footballer than John O'Shea. He makes Jan Molby look positively nippy!

I know he's older now, of course, but I think he illustrates how players at 'big name' clubs are seen as better than they really are. Conversely, really good players are not recognised or valued as they might be because they play for 'lesser' clubs.

Kieran Richardson, O'Shea, Brown, Macheda and others that I have forgotten were all bigged up because they came through the Manure youth system and Fergie played them in the first team. They seemed to think that because he got lucky with 3-4 from the same youth team one time, that every other one would be just as good.

For at least 2 of the goals I found myself shouting at the telly watching MOTD, "just head the f*cking ball clear" before realising I don't give a shit. Talk about schoolboy errors, isn't one of the first things they teach central defenders is not to let it bounce.  How many Champions League medals has he got again?

Beaten for pace doesn't even begin to describe his performance yesterday. Possibly the first footballer I have ever seen 'lapped'.

Isn't much of that down to playing with better players around them week in, week out?

David May Syndrome, I think it is called.

That Sunderland defence, especially O'Shea, should never be allowed to play top flight football again.  It was parks football standard, not long after a similar display against us.  I'd say on current form they're easily the worst team in the Premier League.

You have to stay to the end to beat the traffic.

Very good
