Haha - 2 min in Albion down to 10 men vs Man City. Hilariously harsh

Harsh and the wrong player?

West Brom will do well not to get utterly battered today. It must be around 85% possession right now.

My wife didn't understand why I was pissing myself laughing at that.

And that's a really good finish from Bony to put another smile on the face.

If I were Pullis, I'd send the player around to the away end to try and boost the numbers.

Commentators talking about the ground expansion work for Man City.

Commentator no. 1.
10,000 extra seats, I hope they can sell them.
Commentator no. 2.
I hope they make more noise than the 46,000 that normally turn up. There's more atmosphere on the moon.

I hope if get back to having success VP never becomes like that. One thing the place being quiet when we're not doing well, quite another when fans are spoilt by success that they can't be arsed to get involved in the game.

Early kicks off times don't help though.

true, but that place is getting a bit of reputation now. It's a little like Arsenal where success led to moving from Highbury to the Emirates and has killed a lot of atmosphere. Man City "acquired" their stadium off course, but Maine Road would have been a lot more vibrant. You're right though, fucking around with KO times doesn't help.

Man City had more shots in the 1st half than West Brom had possession...

What has happened?  In the 90s to 00s Maine Road was one of the best grounds.  Noisy crowd with some great songs.
Have the ticket prices increased to an extent that the hardcore no-longer attend?  ...They were still with them in the third division so it'd be strange to get bored of it now.

I don't travel to many away games, but there are some grounds for which I would make the effort. The Etihad is not one of them. I'm sure it's superbly appointed and all that, but to me it's like going to watch those Avengers films at the IMAX - loads of money on show, but all fireworks and no narrative.

That really is such a pitiful away showing by the biggest club and best fans in the Midlands.
