Honestly, i'd extend it beyond Villa players and consider fans too.

Real-Barca almost 5 minutes old yet Sky don't start showing the game until 17:15.
They're not allowed - no live football can be shown in the UK between 2.45pm and 5.15pm.

I thought it must be some legal restriction but didn't know so the specifics so thanks. They didn't explain why, at least during the 10 minutes before they went to the game that I saw.

Really? Never knew that.

Anyway, I wonder if those watching el calssico consider that both clubs are also as bad for the game as certain oft criticised English clubs, are?

Watching the match doesn't really imply any acceptance of badness.

Especially not for Villa fans. There has to be some watchable football for us somewhere ;-)

I watched Liverpool - Hull today.

Was quite impressed with Hull, especially in the first half, when they played pretty much the same way we did up there. Under lots more pressure in the second half, but well worth a point.

Gerrard and Coutinho looked the part for Liverpool, but the rest were very, very underwhelming.

Only had 34% possession though, Bruce out. ;)

Anybody watching Barcelona Real Madrid?

Highly excitable Geordie commentator. I think he might have a heart attack soon. He's had two orgasms already.

Urrgh. That sounds Messi.

Dirty Leeds have sacked another manager. They're obviously aiming to give Small Heath a run for their money in the race to the bottom.

By the looks of it they could appoint me as manager and still not win that race.

Just watching MOTD. Fuck me, West Brom benefited from some, er, "friendly" refereeing there didn't they?

Two things about motd.  Is it me or do Smethwick get an inordinate amount of dodgy penalties?

Did anyone think there was a stupidly lengthy amount of time allocated to the Liverpool game - a boring 0-0 draw?

Sadly, I thought it was a pen for the Bitters. But that elbow to Speroni, that was nasty.
