Tom Daley needs to replace his coach with a footballer from San Marino.

Ooh, here we go, the subs.
Suddenly it's a different scenario.

Or maybe not.

Enjoyable second half this. Wiltshire and Milner playing very well.

Wiltshire play well in the lower reaches of county cricket, occasionally.

So that San Marino fella has now scored twice for England. Something to tell the grandkids.

little spell there is why I like Lallana, he's great at the neat little 1 touch stuff round the box, if the rest of the squad can get used to playing with him I think he can be a good player for England, I'd rather he start in that position than Sterling, he's not got the same ability to make something from nothing but he offers so much m ore consistency.

Feel for the defender, horrible own goal to concede, nothing he can do there.

it's going to really piss me off when Rooney becomes Englands all time leading scorer, the guy has disappeared on us in every tournament he's played in but he'll go down as are most productive striker of all time.

Me too. When he does pass Jimmy Greaves' record, Clive Tydlesley will burst an artery in praise and SSN will show all his goals on continuous loop for 24 hours next day, with a phone poll to choose his bestest England goal.
Won't all be bad news then.

Seriously, at the absolute highest level he's been the epitome of all fart and no shit.
The footballing equivalent of Graeme Hick. Got all the natural talent, but is primarily a flat track bully who can look good at the higher levels as long as everything is going his way. As soon as the going gets tough, he's either going to go missing or do something stupid.

SM goalie wearing red.
Excellent 'avoid' strategy.
Possibly a mistake. Defensively speaking.

Woy realised what the team needed to do and changed it at half time. 1) Triangular passing through the crowded defence, 2) One touch football, 3) Use the wings, 4) Lewington screaming encouragement at them from the touchline from 46-60 minutes. Simple, traditional, effective. Love it.
