I'd have said that over their Villa career, Postma was worse than Encks. But Encks will always be remembered for those derby fuck ups. Stuart Taylor would be my worse keeper, purely because I don't like him. 33, earned a fortune and hasn't played 80 league games. His 12 appearances for us is the second most he has made for anyone. I know we'd all like money for sitting on our arses, but if I were a pro footballer, i'd prefer to play in the lower leagues every week and earn less.

Anyone who has appeared enough to be confirmed as utterly shite is acceptable.

Enckelman

Agathe
Baker
Ridgewell
Luna

Tonev
Osbourne
Djemba x2
Carr

De Bilde
Bowery

subs-
Kiraly
Bardsley
Bennett
Sali-who
Gudjohnson
Fashanu
Holt

Manager-
McLeish (with O Leary as Director of football and public relations).

No way can Carr be in any 'worst of,'  his goal gained us our first FA Cup Semi Final place since 1654.  Sweet strike it was, too.

Totally agree. As memory serves that was the only chance Fran Carr got in the first team as well, so he made it count!

The worst central defender I can think of was the young Welsh lad who played about 10 games in the late-90s before disappearing in the lower leagues, I can't remember his name.

Gk - Schmeichel
rb - de la cruz
lb - shorey
cb - welsh kid from above
cb - scimeca
rm - ginola
lm - pires
cm - kinsella
cm - osborne
cf - Stefan Moore
cf - Balaban

I can forgive most of them for just not being good enough, and I can forgive Pires for having been in retirement before he joined, I'll never forgive Schmeichel or Ginola who were both 'name' signings by Doug who came for a paycheck and made no attempt to hide it.

Must be Hughes then.

Surprised I haven't seen Baros get an honourable mention.

Hughes is the one I was thinking of, Edwards was pretty poor as well.  I had a look after I typed it, had about 50-60 games at Shrewsbury and then a few for Cardiff before giving up and going in to coaching at 26, which sums up my thinking about him being a long long way from top flight standard.
