Pretty sure his absence is actually now longer than in the promotion season.

Hopefully we'll see him on Thursday even if it's 30 minute cameo off the bench.

Memo to Jack: Get some bloody protection for your shins!  In the words of the immortal Scottie, from Startrek, "Ye canna change the laws of physics!" When some defender is getting agricultural with your legs to stop you, it's no surprise that your shins will take a battering.

For the millionth time, that's not what causes his injury.

to be fair, spartacuss never actually said it was  - maybe it was just general advice to protect his shins :)

Genuine question: do you know what does cause his injury, and what the nature of the injury is?

Shin splints have been mentioned a number of times on here and possibly by the club too.

and fit perfectly with how the injury has gone and the various false dawns for him coming back. There aren't many injuries with a 1-3month time frame where you can feel fine through rehab and then suddenly break down again with no obvious cause for the breakdown.

Hopefully he gets at least half an hour against Everton on Thursday and then a full game against Palace next weekend, where a fit and fresh Watkins and Grealish get us firing back into the top half.

I think to try and appease the fans of Man U, Liverpool the owners of these clubs will spend big in the transfer market this summer

I would imagine that Grealish would be disappointed if he were not attracting interest and bids from these clubs not that we have to sell him

I have a slight worry we've seen the last of him in a Villa shirt.

No chance. He loves the club, he's signed a five year contract, and nobody is going to pay £100 million plus for a player that has been out for three months. There is genuinely more chance of us signing Messi and Haaland than there is of us selling Grealish and Chucky this summer.

CD I hope that you are right, but if Grealish plays well for England in the summer then we may have a few bids for him, hopefully he will not want the move

After watching the game yesterday we are a fair few seasons away from pushing for a top 4 finish

This is the elephant in the room, he not want to be in Kaneís situation.
Can we get enough quality into the squad this summer to have a chance of cracking it?

Our owners are going to have to spend another £100 million this summer on the 3 players we need to get towards the top 6

I would say that is about right.
