From the Guardian :
‘I am a footballer but I’m still human. We all make mistakes’
The Aston Villa captain opens up about his lockdown incident and how the club are set on staying up for the memory of Dean Smith’s father

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/jun/02/jack-grealish-aston-villa-mistakes-premier-league

Very good to hear.
And also very good to confirm what I said about Smith seeing something in Grealish and that Smith would have undoubtedly seen Grealish right from his crime.

I think this article , although we can never forget how Grealish dishonest and dishonour the whole club , it now  helps a lot to move on from the whole sordid Covid affair to hear him understand and keep his head down and behave off field. And that Dean Smith would have had strong words

Excited to see him and mcginn back and have to see was annoyingly funny to read Grealish say Mcginn gets kicked a lot too

Up the villa

So he's ok again now?

Yes, because he said something that backed up an earlier claim.

Grealish mentioned in the times

“I have played with a few players in my time who were unbelievable in training, the best I have ever played with but couldn’t really cut it on a match day. There are definitely some players out there who will thrive off the fact there  are no fans"

I feel Trezeguet would look good in training. Very quick and skill full but has at times struggled to adapt and impose himself in some matches.

Henri Lansbury and Conor Hourihane are first class trainers

But I imagine Grealish was talking about the more maverick players than these solid trainer types .

So with that I'm wondering outside of Trezeguet and somewhat inconsistent El-Ghazi who both show a lot of skills who else over the years would have been a training ground player?

Any other guessers?

I don't think he'll be talking about any of the current team.  N'Zogbia would certainly be one I reckon.  Probably the king of step-overs in five a side games but fuck all use in a match.  Maybe also the likes of Veretout, Amavi and Ayew as well.

Jota Trez Taylor Lansbury I bet they look world beaters in training

apparently Alan Shearer was not all that in training
but didn’t turn out to bad in actually matches

I'm sure JT said Keinan Davies was a nightmare to defend against and proper handful in training matches.

But yes imagine Grealish perhaps  meaning from seasons past

Yannick Bolasie the ultimate

Can imagine the tekkers of Jota led to Drinkwater getting mad with him.
Looks the sort of effortless player a poor man's David Silva . Jota nuts Drinkwater , with a football , for the umpteenth time . Drinkwater nuts Jota with his head.

I’d clean forgotten about Drinky. I hope he’s gone back to Chelsea or Burnley or anywhere else.

Contracted to Villa until the end of June. He'll be super fit and raring to go now, you'll see.

Spoiler for Hiden:
You won't.

Apologies to bring drinky poos to mind.
What an awful pro he is .
Best off without him all things considered.
Unless he's had some epiphany during lockdown and changed perspective I don't think his fitness will be remotely up to it either (still!)
