I don't think I went that far, but there's been times when he's been disappointing, which he's admitted himself.

Fortunately, clowns like Cundy and Goldstein don't run the Villa, so they don't have the pleasure of telling Man Utd or anyone else to do one.

I don't think we'll be challenging for CL spots anytime soon tbh. Fair play to the optimists, but I found out some time ago that nothing is fair and hope is a lie.

If you're not vaguely optimistic I don't understand what pleasure you get from being a Villa fan tbh. Esp given the last few years!

Is it okay to be sort of optimistic but still quite a bit scared at the same time? Scars of the last decade don't heal that quickly and I can't quite shake off the feeling that any cause for celebration will be swiftly followed by a kick in the bollocks.

How much? Seeing as mutant head Maguire and some fullback who had a decent year went for a combined £130m.

Jack's getting better and better I'm just so glad we have him playing for us on Sunday against Man U they couldn't handle him that says a lot about how good he is when they have to keep fouling him I think he will stay we are building something special at Aston Villa and Jack is a big part of that it will take time but my god how I'm enjoying the ride of what we are doing.

getting £100 million or whatever for JG is nothing to our owners they are collectively worth 8.2 billion
it’s not going to turn their heads if they don’t want to sell

it will come down to Jack himself,
Champions league football and all of that, but even there it’s difficult to see who will guarantee it outside of Liverpool, Man City and Leicester

Man Utd are a big pull being the biggest club in the country, there’s no point denying that, but it could take a while for them to turn it round again so it will depend on where Jack wants to play

no point arguing about not selling him if he gets a tempting offer because unhappy players rarely work and I know we nearly sold him last season but we were in a total different place then

I just hope he wants to stay and believes he can do with us what he can do with most of the other clubs in the premier league in the next 2/3 seasons, but it nothings guaranteed I’m afraid

Hope this helps. It certainly gives me some hope that no one is going to have their heads turned. UTFV
