as apt a final performance of the season as there's ever been. When Sky run the 'players released' caption tomorrow I demand a list of at least 20.

To be honest the only thing I was looking forward to is the post match interviews so see if there is any more snippets of our plans.

I couldn't care if almost every single one of them, players and management, are not there on 1st August

Otherwise, I'd suggest closing this thread due to lack of interest!
Yep, Delph is the only one that I would be sorry to see go.

I bet Lambert tries to tell us we were fantastic in the second half because we didn't concede. It's really quite amazing the spin he tries to put on these defeats.

38 points. Shameful. Any Manager at Villa should be getting a minimum of 40 points. Many other seasons this would be a season of relegation.

Thanks Lerner and Lambert for all your efforts but you're just not good enough. A bother season to forget

Although it doesn't work like that. Every season is relative.

There's no real way of dressing that up, it was awful. No doubt there is a 'we were excellent second half' in there somewhere for the manager.

The path downhill from last year's end of season optimism strated with our failure to secure a single central midfielder this season. We needed at least two. If you put 2 or 3 quality midfielders around Delph this team would have been transformed.

Barring changes at a higher level, the most likely change is that Delph fucks off to somewhere where the burden is shared.

Yes, him and Guzan, Benteke and possibly Vlaar. Realistically, you can't replace a whole team in one fell swoop with footballers

Please let this season be the nadir. The ownership and coaching set up needs to be sorted immediately. And please god come August may Lerner, Faulkner, Lambert and half the playing squad be nowhere near Villa Park.

We finished above West Brom! We finished above West Brom! High ho the derry o we finished above West Brom! In all seriousness, I cant remember ever wanting a season to end as quickly as this one. We all know what needs to happen, at least we can now all enjoy the summer.
Can we enjoy it though with the jokers from top to bottom, they are all useless.

Who gives a fuck. Shit points tally, shit Manager, shit players, shit season. 40 million spent over two seasons and we can't even reach what is the unwritten golden points mark. Diabolical.
