Joking apart, I honestly fancy us to do something totally nuts and get a point now the pressure is gone.

Of course, that would mean us winning the league for Liverpool which would be ABSOLUTELY FUCKING TYPICAL of Villa. Finally a result to be proud of, only to gift the title to fucking Liverpool.

I see you can get 22/1 on us winning there. That's a crazy price. 9/1 the draw is maybe worth a shout, though.

Bowery to start I'd guess with gabby out

Good. Let's beat them with their best XI.

Possibly the only time I won't be remotely arsed about us losing. A face-saving 2-0 loss and they'll go on and brutally remove Gerrard's grubby mitts from the PL trophy come Sunday as well.

Would be very interesting to see how JB plays against better opposition. He certainly deserves a start.

Obviously I still think we'll be thumped...but Liverpool winning tonight would probably be good for us. Man City haven't played pressure games particularly well and I think we'll go into the game looking forward to it. Most of our high spots from this season is how we've played against the top 4 teams. Not one will have come out of our encounters unscathed this season. So to see where we are is just as remarkable. Benteke and Gabby would have been tailor made for this one but as they're (well, Gabby) not it's a huge chance for Bowery.

If he shows even the slightest glimmer on Saturday what he did last Saturday then it will be very interesting and we'll score goals.

But, I've been here too many times over the last 4 or so seasons thinking that the next game would see us kick-on just a little bit more and build on some confidence. Only to see it usually kicked the shit out of us.

5-0.

I think Bowery did well at the weekend, but Hull gave him so much space I doubt he can replicate that.

I'm convinced we'll win on Wednesday now, I just have a weird feeling about it and we'll hand the title to fucking Liverpool.

Yep, I think it'll be a strange, nervy evening for City. I've never been in the position before where I won't know how to feel should we go in front.

I'm watching the game with a Man City fan. I only watch Villa games in the presence of others when I can relax.

I'll always want us to win, at least if we do we can always tell any gloating Liverpool fans that we won them the title.

See it's things like Michael Vaughan on twitter saying 'congratulations to Manchester City on being champions' that really annoy me.
