One negative today. I'm pretty sure I heard a drum. We'll have less of that at VP thank you very much!

There did seem to be a drum in L1

One of my sons told me it was the Swedish Villa fans.

Slampas! Only kidding our Swedish friends. I always like seeing the Swedish flag on The Holte and knowing they are here. But less drums please.

Stop moaning about occasional Scandinavian drums, you old farts. We are premier league. We said we are premier league. Stayin' up.

The Swedish lads were in the pub before the game and delightful they were as well.

Not long home.  Job done.

Oh, and I'll say it before they do. Passed at least 40,000 Blues fans coming down the M6 in the opposite direction...

I can't tell how serious pws is on this matter but I thought the drum was ace. Picked everyone up during the few occasional down times in the wall of noise. Didn't overkill it either but gave the holte a tribal feel.

It was hardly a Portsmouth cow bell....

I'll say well done on getting the win today, but 'well done' on staying up?!!!
It's hardly befitting of Aston Villa FC is it? Like Shearer said, Lerner needs to piss or get off the pot, so to speak. And i'd replace the manager either way.

Did the club specifically ask for supporters club flags for this match being as they were all draped from the Witton gantry?

Trivia time

Ashley Westwood's goal was the 1,000th at Villa Park in the Premier League (Villa have scored 570 and conceded 430).

Today also saw the 1000th goal of the Premier League season. Can anyone work out how many games it's taken for both feats to be reached?
